Description[]

Artifacts in Deepwoken are valuable pieces of technology or objects that can be given to banker NPCs for moderate rewards such as rare armor, mantra ingredients, weapons and armor schematics, and a handful of XP. There is currently one type of Artifact in the game.

Artifacts are generally found around Lower and Upper Erisia but can be found on other islands, as well as being able to spawn on rock formations out at sea such as the ones in the vicinity of Erisia. They can also be found out in open waters. Due to the random nature of where they spawn you may find them guarded by enemies or completely unguarded making it easy to pick up and run off with. You will know an Artifact has spawned near you as a loud pulsating noise can be heard emitting from it and large purple rings can be spotted flying upwards away from the Artifact's vicinity.

When you pick up an Artifact it will make a loud noise and will then cease making noise/rings.

An Artifact is also necessary to activate the Deep Crucible.

Tips/Trivia[]

  • The Piece of the Forge Artifact used to sell for 800 Notes.
  • They despawn after 1 hour.
  • Be cautious bringing an Artifact to a bank. Players occasionally will jump others holding them due to the ease of loot.
    • Hiding them in a Guild Base is also an option, as you won't be seen carrying it around and can create a guild entrance next to a bank to take Artifacts out of.
  • Anyone standing nearby whilst you turn in an Artifact will also receive notes and XP.
  • Artifacts are likely related to the Forge of Sin, as bankers will call it a "Piece of the Forge," and pieces of their models are in the Temple of the Forgotten Flame.
  • The Castle Light Banker has an Artifact turn-in option, but Artifacts do not currently spawn in the Depths.
  • Artifacts are currently bugged so that you cannot turn them in.
