It depends on the device. Apple states it as being able to hold a charge for around 18 hours, more if it is in low power mode. The Apple Watch Ultra can hold a charge for up to 60 hours. I recommend charging it overnight, or during other times that it is inconvenient for it to be on your wrist (showering, etc.)

Apple by default enables a setting called "Optimized Battery Charging", which can help prolong your battery. It does this by looking at your daily charging habits, and waiting to fully charge until you need it. I recommend charging it overnight, or during other times that it is inconvenient for it to be on your wrist (showering, etc.)
