With the Apple Watch turning ten this year, rumour has it that the upcoming smartwatch series, which may be called the Apple Watch X or the Apple Watch Series 10 will have a revamped design. While not much is certain right now, the tech giant may have some surprises up its sleeve. From design changes to new features, here’s everything we know about the upcoming Apple Watch.

  1. 01

Apple Watch Series 10 launch date

Taking a look at past Apple Watch announcements, it is highly likely that the Cupertino-based tech giant will launch the Apple Watch Series 10 alongside the iPhone 16. This means the upcoming Apple Watch will be unveiled sometime in the second week of September.

  2. 02

Apple Watch Series 10 revamped design

According to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, the Apple Watch Series 10 will be thinner than its predecessor and feature a new way to attach watch bands. Gurman says Apple has “explored a new magnetic band attachment system”, but claims that it may not be ready before the tech giant launches the Apple Watch Series 10. However, we suggest you take this with a grain of salt as things may change down the line and Apple might stick with the same design.

  3. 03

    New display tech

For years, Apple has been experimenting with its very own microLED displays. However, Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo suggests that Apple might scrap the idea because the screens don’t “ add significant value to [Apple Watch] and the production costs are too high to make it economically viable.”

According to The Elec, the tech giant will switch to a more power-efficient screen and go with thin-filament transistors (TFT) LTPO. If true, this will improve the overall battery life of the device, and we may finally see an Apple Watch that lasts more than a day.

  4. 04

    More health-tracking features

The Apple Watch 10 Series is rumoured to offer a way to detect sleep disturbances using the existing respiration measurement detection method that can be shared with medical professionals to determine if users are dealing with sleep apnea.

The company is also reportedly working on the ability to detect elevated blood pressure and log it in a journal that will allow users to write down what they were feeling when their blood pressure was high.

  5. 05

    Apple Watch 10 Series price

If we take a look at the company’s previous smartwatches, the upcoming Apple Watch Series 10 may cost the same as its predecessors. This means that the base variant will cost somewhere around $399 while the Apple Watch Ultra may be priced at $799.
