Hello, here is a solution, ****
It seems like your Apple Watch SE series is encountering an issue with updating after you've updated your iPhone to iOS 17. Here are a few steps you can try to resolve the issue:
- Force Restart Apple Watch: Since you've already tried force restarting your Apple Watch, try force restarting it again. To force restart an Apple Watch, press and hold both the side button and the digital crown for at least 10 seconds until you see the Apple logo.
- Check Wi-Fi Connection: Make sure your iPhone and Apple Watch are connected to a stable Wi-Fi network. A stable internet connection is essential for downloading and installing updates.
- Reset Network Settings on iPhone: Go to your iPhone's settings, navigate to "General" > "Reset" > "Reset Network Settings." This action will reset your iPhone's network settings, including Wi-Fi networks and passwords. After resetting, reconnect your iPhone to Wi-Fi and try updating your Apple Watch again.
- Check Available Storage: Ensure that there is enough storage space available on your Apple Watch to download and install the update. You can check the available storage on your Apple Watch by going to "Settings" > "General" > "Usage" on your Apple Watch.
- Update via iPhone: You can try initiating the update for your Apple Watch through the Watch app on your iPhone. Open the Watch app, go to "My Watch" > "General" > "Software Update," and check if the update is available.

Hello
Marya_vf , If your Apple Watch SE series is stuck while installing an update after you updated your iPhone to iOS 17, and force restarting, unpairing, and turning it on and off haven't resolved the issue, you can try the following steps:
- Check Wi-Fi and Bluetooth Connections: Make sure your iPhone and Apple Watch are connected to the same Wi-Fi network and that Bluetooth is enabled on both devices. A stable internet connection is necessary for the update process.
- Reset Network Settings: On your iPhone, go to Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings. This will reset Wi-Fi networks and passwords, cellular settings, and VPN settings on your iPhone. After resetting, reconnect to your Wi-Fi network and try installing the update again.
- Check Storage Space: Ensure that your Apple Watch has enough available storage space to download and install the update. You can check this by going to Settings > General > Usage on your Apple Watch.
- Update via iTunes: If the over-the-air update isn't working, you can try updating your Apple Watch using iTunes on your computer. Connect your Apple Watch to your computer, open iTunes, and select your Apple Watch. Then, click on "Check for Update" and follow the on-screen instructions to update your Apple Watch.

Try deleting the download, turned off my Apple Watch, turned off my iPhone. Then restart both and try the update again.
