- [Instructor] Arguably, one of the most useful features of the Apple Watch is its ability to send and receive text messages. If you're someone who receives a lot of texts, you'll appreciate not having to pull your phone out of your pocket each time you get a notification that a text has arrived. Instead, you can just read the message on your watch and if necessary, respond from there as well, all while keeping your phone tucked away. So when you receive a text, you can reply to it in several ways, like tapping the microphone button to voice dictate your reply, no, I have a dentist appointment in the morning, or if you have an Apple Watch series 7 or later, you can tap in the reply field to type out your message, and you can enter text either by tapping one letter at a time or by swiping across the keys of the letters you want to enter. Alternately, you can swipe up from the bottom of the screen to switch to Scribble, which is what pre series 7 watches have by default. And this allows…
