This Strawberry cheesecake smoothie only contains 3 ingredients and tastes like cheesecake! The secret ingredient to getting this smoothie to taste like cheesecake is by using instant pudding mix. I used frozen strawberries but below you will find many different flavor combination ideas for this.

Ingredients Needed

Strawberry Cheesecake Smoothie - Recipe Diaries (2)
  • Milk - Dairy does not like me at all so I go for a lactose free milk such as Fairlife. It also has more protein in it.
  • Frozen strawberries or blueberries - use when you can get them in season
  • Instant pudding mix, cheesecake flavor - This is such a versatile ingredient to use in many desserts, I love them cause there’s so many flavors. Just add in milk to the pudding.
  • See the recipe card below for a full list of ingredients and measurements.

How to make Cheesecake Smoothie:

Just combine the milk, strawberries, and dry instant pudding mix into a blender and let the blender do the rest of the work! The blender I like to use is this one.

Smoothie Variations

Chocolate Cherry Cheesecake Smoothie: Combine 1 cup unsweetened chocolate almond milk, 1 cup of frozen cherries and 2 teaspoon of cheesecake pudding

Raspberry Cheesecake Smoothie: Combine 1 cup unsweetened almond milk, 1 cup of frozen raspberries, and 2 teaspoon of cheesecake pudding mix

Blueberry Cheesecake Smoothie:Combine 1 cup of unsweetened almond milk, 1 cup of frozen blueberries, and 2 teaspoon of cheesecake pudding mix

Tropical Cheesecake Smoothie: Combine 1 cup of unsweetened almond milk, 1 cup of frozen mixed tropical fruit, and 2 teaspoon of cheesecake pudding mix.

Milk Substitute Options

I used unsweetened almond milk for this but if you have allergies to almonds there are many different kinds of milk substitutes out there for that. Cashew milk, Soy Milk, and regular milk would work great for this smoothie. Chocolate unsweetened almond milk would be even better because then you'd have a Chocolate Strawberry Cheesecake Smoothie. 🙂

Recipe FAQS

Do blended fruits count on WW?

Oh, where to begin with this… This is one rule on WW that no one really follows. There are some people that actually decided to count the blended fruit in a smoothie and some that don’t. A rule is a rule and WWs counts blended fruits because you drink blended fruit faster than you would chewing just a piece of fruit. However, there is one rule to smoothies that I’ve been reading on Facebook and that is if you make a smoothie bowl and eat it with a spoon it is like eating applesauce for 1 smart point. This was in a group I follow on FB. On WW website it says nothing about that and it is kind of hard to believe what some people have to say online. I really wish WW would update their link to the blended fruit and smoothies rule in regards to all the questions people ask about this. Let me know what your thoughts are on this rule in the comments below.

Can I use Sugar-Free Pudding Mix?

Yes, you can use sugar-free pudding mix. In the future whenever I have a recipe that requires instant pudding mix I will leave this option out there. I do not like sugar-free pudding mix at all because it has a weird after taste and sugar-free foods do not agree with my stomach

The recipe does not call for any ice.

  2. Beverly says

How much ice do you use for the recipe?

  3. Jenna says

Yes, I agree Lauren! I love smoothies for breakfast because it keeps my sodium levels low for the day. Plus I get my potassium and other nutrients in.

This looks so good! I can see both sides of the fruit argument. Having a smoothie CAN be filling, like eating all of that fruit in one sitting, but it is consumed faster. I also don't know a lot of people who do eat that much fruit in one sitting! I guess making a smoothie bowl with other toppings and eating it with a spoon makes sense, in terms of counting it for a point or two? It would be nice to see updates on WW's website!
