Use Screen Time to configure controls for a family member’s AppleWatch. With Screen Time you can schedule time away from the screen, and limit both contacts and the apps your family member can use to communicate with those contacts. You can also impose limits on iTunesStore and app purchases, explicit content, and location information.
Tap Screen Time, tap Screen Time Settings, then tap Turn On Screen Time.
On the following screens, configure options for allowable content, communication safety, time away from screens, and app and website limits.
Create a ScreenTime passcode.
Alternatively, you can open the Settings app on your iPhone, tap Screen Time, tap your family member’s name below the Family heading, tap Turn On Screen Time, then configure Screen Time settings.

Note: An Apple Watch set up for a family member is limited in some of its interactions with the iPhone used to set it up. For example, you can't unlock a paired iPhone from an Apple Watch you set up for a family member, nor can you hand off tasks from the managed Apple Watch to the iPhone.
Family Setup allows you to use your iPhone to set up an Apple Watch for kids or older adults in your household. The watch can then be used with its own phone number and account.
With a Wi-Fi or cellular connection, your Apple Watch can do the following things, even if your iPhone isn't with you. Make and answer phone calls. Send and receive messages.
With Family Setup, your family member who doesn't have their own iPhone can use their Apple Watch to do things like make phone calls, send messages, and share their location with you. After you set up a watch for a family member, you can use your iPhone to manage some of the watch's capabilities.
One adult in your family — the organizer — invites all the other members to join and sets up accounts for anyone under 13. Once family members join, Family Sharing is set up on everyone's devices automatically. The group then chooses which services and features they'd like to use and share.
Apple Watch owners usually need their own iPhone to pair with the watch during the setup process. However, a feature called Family Setup offers a way around that requirement so you can set up an Apple Watch for a child or another family member who doesn't own an iPhone.
I have a personal and a work phone, i use same user id as want to keep all information sync and the same. I have one Apple Watch and want to pair it to both. Is it possible? This is NOT possible, an Apple Watch connects to one phone at a time, and only one phone.
Your iPhone and Apple Watch must use the same carrier, unless the watch was set up for a family member who doesn't have an iPhone. If you change carriers on your iPhone, you need to remove the previous service plan on your Apple Watch and sign up for a new plan.
You might see a phone number assigned to your Apple Watch that differs from the phone number assigned to your iPhone. The number shown for your Apple Watch is for your carrier's billing or tracking purposes only; your iPhone and Apple Watch share the same number.
No, you do not have to pay a monthly charge to use your watch. As long as you have your paired iPhone with you, you can answer and make calls from your watch, send messages, etc., without paying the $10 monthly fee. You only have to pay if you want to use your watch as a phone, independently of your iPhone.
With Apple Watch with cellular and an activated cellular plan, you can stay connected even when away from your iPhone. For all other models of Apple Watch, there are still things you can do even when you are away from your iPhone and not connected to Wi-Fi.
Bluetooth on the Apple Watch has a maximum range of 100 meters/330 feet, though the range may be shorter in practice. If the paired iPhone is connected to a known Wi-Fi network, the Apple Watch and iPhone can communicate over Wi-Fi.
Open the Phone app on your Apple Watch. Tap Contacts, then turn the Digital Crown to scroll. Tap the contact you want to call, then tap the phone button. Tap FaceTime Audio to start a FaceTime audio call, or tap a phone number.
Apple Watch must have watchOS 3 or later. Each family member can choose whether or not to share their location with other family members in Location Sharing settings in Family Sharing. If someone stops sharing, they must turn sharing back on for you to locate a device.
Make sure that the previous owner removed Activation Lock from the watch and that the watch has been erased. They must unpair the watch and remove Activation Lock by entering their Apple ID password, so you can use the watch. If you see the passcode lock screen or the Home screen, the device needs to be erased.
