Are Google Pixels better than Samsung? ›

There's only two advantages I've seen in Google's Pixel phones vs. Samsung: Without root, they get updates a lot faster, basically right when new Android versions are released. They also don't get software updates capped, whereas Samsung usually stops updating Android after a few years.

What makes Google Pixel special? ›

Camera quality and design are usually our favorite things about Google's Pixel phones. But it's not just the hardware; software plays an important role in what distinguishes them from other Android phones. Google typically updates Pixel phones every few months, meaning new features arrive fairly regularly.

The Google Pixel 6a remains a great phone, especially considering its very affordable price in 2024.
