Here's What Happened Before Beast Tamer Episode 9
The episode starts with Rein waking up on the floor and hoping that they get a free room because his party sleeps on the beds.
Later, Rein and company talk about purchasing new equipment for Rein as they continue their journey ahead.
Runa and Sora had their guards up while they walked down the street because they could sense people were looking at them rather awkwardly.
However, Rein assured them that they will be fine. They also witnessed Tania and Kanade’s interactions with some known faces.
Rein and his party arrived at a weapon store and met with its rough owner named Gantz. He suggested they pick a weapon of their choice.
Rein picked up a dagger but noticed there was something wrong with it.
A customer then arrived and asked for the best sword. Gantz picked a sword and sold it to the customer.
Rein was unhappy and confronted the owner, stating that his weapons were not up to par.
Gantz confirmed the same and Runa and Sora taunted him for swindling.
Eventually, the owner attempted to show them the best of his weapons.
Gantz went on to lament about how his customers would buy and waste the swords and even get rid of them to buy a newer model.
He then asked Rein how he found out his weapons were different.
Rein revealed that as a Beast Tamer, he has a keen understanding of animals and things.
Gantz was impressed and promised to craft a custom weapon for Rein, but he lacks the essential materials for it.
The group then headed toward the Adventurer’s Guild, where a group of adventurers was looking at the bulletin board.
Natalie told them that Arios was in Horizon and that he was looking to recruit new members.
Rein introduced Runa and Sora to Natalie. Runa told Natalie that her relationship with Rein is deeper than a regular relationship.
Rein was visibly uncomfortable and tried to explain to Natalie what she meant.
He then submitted an application for a quest from Gantz to extract Mythril ore.
Rein and Gantz entered into a deal that in exchange for mining the ore, Gantz will make a new weapon for Rein.
As Rein and his party started their journey, Runa and Sora got tired because of the long trek.
Rein looked for a place to rest and found a lake. He asked his party members to take a dip and freshen up.
They continued on their journey and upon reaching their destination, Rein insisted that they keep a close watch on the mine’s entrance to see if the thieves were stealing from the mine.
As it turns out, there were no thieves inside. Instead, they found out that they were being watched, so Rein had no choice but to engage with them.
Rein decided to fight and defeat the thieves and interrogate them later.
However, Kanade and Tania had other plans.
Runa and Sora used magic to get inside the minds of the thieves and discover their true motives.
They found out that the thieves were related to five other adventurers.
What's more, Rein suspected that one of the adventurers is also a Beast Tamer.
