What does AppleCare+ cover for watches? ›

With AppleCare+

AppleCare+ for Apple Watch extends your coverage³ and includes unlimited incidents of accidental damage protection. Each incident is subject to a $79 service fee, plus applicable tax.

What is not insured? loss or theft, normal wear and tear, intentionally- caused damage, fire or cosmetic damage which does not affect the functionality of the device. defect in design, workmanship, modification or any alteration of the covered Apple device. the Apple or Beats-branded covered devices under the policy.

Both AppleCare+ options provide repair or replacement hardware service for your iPhone. Depending on the plan you choose, you'll get unlimited incidents of accidental damage protection and up to two incidents of theft or loss coverage every 12 months. Each incident is subject to a service fee or deductible.

Express Replacement Service is a benefit of AppleCare+ for Apple Watch. With Express Replacement Service, we'll ship you a replacement device so you don't have to wait for a repair.

For Single-Pay Plans, your Plan Term is two (2) years (or three (3) years for Apple Watch Edition or Hermès). Apple is not obligated to renew your Single-Pay Plan. If Apple does offer to renew, Apple will determine the price and terms. You can find the price of the Plan on the original sales receipt.

Damaged glass

If the glass on your Apple Watch gets damaged, we can service it for a fee. Accidental damage isn't covered by the Apple warranty. Damaged glass is eligible for applicable coverage for accidental damage from handling with your AppleCare+ plan.

AppleCare+ is the equivalent of an extended warranty. You can cover your iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple Watch, Apple Display, Apple TV, HomePod, and even AirPods or Beats headphones. It gives you access to certain repairs (for a fee), 24/7 technical support, and more.

AppleCare+ with Theft and Loss is an optional device protection program that provides combined benefits under a service contract (AppleCare+) for hardware coverage, technical support, battery depletion, and accidental damage from handling (ADH), and an insurance policy (Theft and Loss) for loss and theft coverage.

AppleCare refers to the standard limited warranty that comes with any Apple device you purchase, while AppleCare+ is the extended warranty that you must purchase separately. Under the standard warranty, Apple includes 90 days of complimentary support regardless of whether AppleCare+ is purchased.

There's really no right or wrong answer about whether you should pay for AppleCare+ coverage. It's all about how much risk you're willing to assume. But the higher the price of the device, the more it might make sense to pay for a little peace of mind.

Is water damage covered under AppleCare? ›

Damage to Mac computers and accessories due to liquid exposure is not covered by the Apple One (1) Year Limited Warranty or the AppleCare Protection Plan.

“Accidental Damage” means physical damage, breakage or failure of Your Covered Equipment due to an unforeseen and unintentional event occurring either due to handling (e.g., dropping the Covered Equipment or through liquid contact) or due to an external event (e.g., extreme environmental or atmospheric conditions).

AppleCare+ covers You for repair or replacement of Your device in the event of Accidental Damage or Battery Depletion, and access to Technical Support from Apple (as set out in clause 4.5). The Policy is sold by Apple and Apple Authorised Resellers.

Your Apple Watch is eligible to add AppleCare+ up to 60 days after purchase. If you purchased your Apple Watch in store or online, visit a Best Buy store with proof of purchase and receive a visual inspection of it. Alternatively, if you purchased your device online, add directly through your online purchase history.

AppleCare+ provides repair or replacement coverage, both parts and labour, from Apple-authorised technicians. Service coverage includes: Your Apple Watch.

Hello, AppleCare+ for Apple Watch does not protect against normal wear and tear or cosmetic damage that does not affect the functionality of the Apple Watch, including scratches.

AppleCare+ for Apple Watch does NOT include theft OR loss protection. If you lose your watch or it is stolen, you buy a new watch. Or you possibly file a claim with your insurer, but you do not have theft or loss protection from Apple.

AppleCare+ for iPhone extends your coverage to 2 years from your AppleCare+ purchase date¹ and adds unlimited incidents of accidental damage protection. Each incident is subject to a service fee of ₹2500 for screen or back glass damage, or ₹8900 for other accidental damage.

For the quickest way to check coverage, use the Apple Support app available on iPhone, iPad, and Apple Watch. Open the app and select the device you want to check. You'll see expiration dates for hardware and technical support if AppleCare is active.
